“Giving birth should be your greatest achievement, not your greatest fear."

— Jane Weidman

  • It is your birth

Your birthing day is one of the most monumental moments of your life.

It’s the day you meet your newest forever—the little one you’ve lovingly grown inside you for nine incredible months.

Childbirth education plays a powerful role in creating a safe, positive, and empowering birth experience.

  • Be Empowered

As your birthing day approaches, you may find yourself with more and more questions about your options—and that’s a good thing.

Remember Mama: this is your birth, and your voice matters.

You have the right to make informed decisions every step of the way.

Don’t be afraid to advocate for the care you want—prenatally, during labor, and in the moments after your baby arrives.

  • Birth your way

Labor and delivery are physically and emotionally demanding, and feeling supported can make all the difference.

The best birthing experiences are built on knowledge, encouragement, reassurance, and respect.

Mama, you deserve to feel safe, loved, cared for, and well-informed as you bring your baby into the world.

A note to parents…

By now, you’ve likely set up the nursery, gathered all the baby essentials, and excitedly waiting for the arrival of your beautiful baby. Alongside the excitement, however, it’s natural to feel some fear and anxiety about giving birth, especially if you're a first-time parent.

These fears can feel overwhelming, but with the right guidance, education, and support, they can be greatly alleviated. Understanding what to expect during labor and childbirth can empower you and help reduce any feelings of uncertainty.

To avoid feeling powerless or overwhelmed when the time comes, it's important to take some time before labor begins to explore your options, from pain management techniques to birthing positions and methods. Knowing your choices and preparing for different scenarios will give you a sense of control and help you make informed decisions during the birthing process.

With the right education and support, you can approach childbirth with the knowledge and confidence you need. As a Childbirth Educator, I would be honored to guide you through your pregnancy, offering you the tools and information to create a well-informed and empowered birthing experience.

…and a note to dads

For many dads, the labor and birth process can feel like unfamiliar territory, often leaving them uncertain about how to best support the birthing mom during this monumental moment. It's natural to feel unsure, but understanding your role and how to offer support can make a world of difference.

As a birthing partner, your primary role is to provide care, reassurance, and encouragement throughout childbirth.

Being informed about what to expect and how labor progresses is crucial for both you and the mom. When you both have a clear understanding of the process and potential challenges, you'll feel more empowered and confident as you welcome your baby into the world.

Remember, childbirth is unpredictable, highly emotional, and physically demanding.

You are the mom’s advocate and her primary source of comfort. Stay calm, confident, and supportive, and try not to take anything personally during this intense and emotional experience.
